Computer Application Design Academy

Grand Prairie ISD is expanding college opportunities for students with the introduction of a new P-TECH program in Computer Application Design at South Grand Prairie Early College High School (SGP ECHS). Through an open-enrollment protocol, Pathways in Technology at Early College High School (P-TECH) programs create workforce pathways aligned with high-demand, high-wage fields throughout the state. Students enrolled in P-TECH programs work toward an Associate Degree while gaining hands-on experience in a chosen field.
The Computer Application Design Academy (CAD) at South Grand Prairie Early College High School will enable students to earn a high school diploma, level 1 and/or level 2 certificate, and associate degree credits in the field of Software Development/Programming by graduation at no cost. The CAD Academy will serve students in Grade 9 in the first year of implementation (2021-2022) and progressively scale up by adding one grade per year.
The Computer Application Design Academy is offered through South Grand Prairie Early College High School.
