What are the wait list procedures?
Children will be placed on a waiting/pending list. If there are openings available, families will be notified via email that the contract has been accepted.
If there are no current openings, your child will remain on the waitlist.
Waiting list applications are evaluated every Wednesday for students to start the following week. If an email is not received by Wednesday, this means that space has not become available.
Contracts are approved within the order in which they were received.
No updates are provided unless your child’s application is approved.

What age students does Beyond the Bell serve?
Beyond the Bell serves students Pre-K 4 until the student has completed 6th grade who can function in a 1:17 ratio.

When does the program begin?
The Beyond the Bell After School Program begins on the first day of school and operates on the same calendar as the district.

What does a typical day in Beyond the Bell look like?
School Dismissal-4:15 p.m.
- Student Check-In/Snack/Restroom
- Homework/Quiet Centers
4:15-5:00 p.m.- (A) Gross Motor/Outside
- (B) Specialized Activity
5:00-5:45 p.m.- (A) Specialized Activity
- (B) Gross Motor/Outside
5:45-6:15 p.m.- Educational Centers
6:15-6:30 p.m.- End of the Day Activity
The program follows this schedule and it does not change except for special cases such as activities on campus or guest speakers. Each child is expected to follow this schedule even if they arrive late due to tutoring, other school clubs, etc.There is no guarantee that all homework will be completed during the program, although it is our goal.

Does my child have to enroll for all 5 days each week?
Yes. Unfortunately you must enroll for all 5 days.

Are scheduled/unscheduled drop-ins allowed?
No. Unfortunately, Beyond the Bell cannot allow scheduled nor unscheduled drop-ins. A child may attend the program only on the days of the week indicated on the child care contract.

Where do I register my child?
Registration may be completed at any time throughout the year. However, space can fill up, so register early to guarantee a spot for the upcoming school year. To begin registration, please click here.

When and how do I pay?
Payments are due on Fridays prior to care being received. Online payments go through our Eleyo system. Payment made in person MUST be brought to the Education Center located at 2602 S. Belt Line Road Grand Prairie, Texas 75052. Checks will be accepted, NO CASH. No payments can be accepted on campus.

Who will be supervising my child while he/she is attending Beyond the Bell?
GPISD employs certified teachers and instructional assistants for each program site. Beyond the Bell staff members undergo a full criminal background screening, which includes fingerprinting, prior to employment. All Site Supervisors are CPR and First Aid certified.

How much time will be devoted to academics during the After School Program?
Time is allocated for enrichment activities, which could include any of the following: homework assistance, STAAR preparation, computer lab, S.T.E.M. activities and library activities.

Will children have time to relax and play during the After School Program?
Yes. The program allots time for free play as well as structured games and activities.

Will my child receive a snack in Beyond the Bell?
