Board Goals & Guardrails

Grand Prairie ISD’s Board Goals and Guardrails establish a clear framework for advancing student achievement while maintaining a strong commitment to the well-being of students, staff, families, and the district as a whole. The Board Goals focus on measurable improvements in early childhood literacy and mathematics, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), and middle school reading proficiency. Each goal is supported by specific progress measures and targets through 2030 to monitor growth and ensure accountability. The Board Guardrails further define expectations for protecting high-quality professional development, financial health, family engagement, staff wellness and safety, and the overall experience, safety, and well-being of students. Together, these goals, guardrails, and progress measures provide a transparent roadmap for monitoring the district’s progress and keeping student success at the center of decision-making.
