GPISD Receives 2025-26 Accountability Ratings, Improves to B Rating

8 schools moved up a letter grade
12 campuses earned a total of 43 distinctions
5 of 6 High Schools Rated AThe Grand Prairie Independent School District is pleased to announce that it has received a B rating from the Texas Education Agency which has just released the 2025-26 Accountability Ratings for schools and districts.

In addition, five campuses maintained an A rating (Dubiski Career High School, Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute, Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy, Powell Elementary School, and School for the Highly Gifted), one school (South Grand Prairie High School) gained the A rating.

In total, eight GPISD campuses moved up a letter grade. Those schools are:

• Adams Middle School (C)
• Austin Environmental Science Academy (B)
• Crosswinds Accelerated High School (A)
• De Zavala Environmental Science Academy (B)
• Garner Fine Arts Academy (B)
• Morton Elementary School (B)
• Ochoa STEM Academy (B)
• South Grand Prairie High School (A)

Overall, 44% of GPISD schools rated A or B. Those campuses serve 49% of all students. In all, six schools showed gains of five points or more from 2025.

While the campus ratings report shows areas of significant progress, it also highlights areas of need. The Grand Prairie ISD is committed to supporting all campuses to ensure our students are successful. The GPISD team remains “All in for All Kids”!
