Rooms for Parents & Guardians

If you are having trouble getting access to Rooms, follow these steps:

Step 1: Make sure your information is correct in Skyward

Guardians must have an account in Skyward to access Rooms. Make sure your email address or phone number is up to date in Skyward. If your child has more than one guardian, all guardians MUST have different email addresses or else you won't be able to log in to Rooms.

Step 2: Download the GPISD app

Download the GPISD app and tap Rooms at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Enter your information

Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Skyward account. If you share phone numbers with another guardian, log in with your email address instead.

You will be sent a code to the email or phone you used to log in. Enter that code in the app.

Step 4: Sign in

Once your account is set up, sign in to access Rooms and your messages.

If your child's teacher hasn't created a Room yet, you won't see any Rooms listed in your account. That's okay! You can still tap Messages, click the green pencil, and search for your child's teacher's name to send them a message.

To get connected to your child's teacher in Rooms, first follow these steps:

1. Download the app using the links above.
2. Log into Rooms following the steps above.

Once logged into the app, click on Messages at the bottom of the screen, tape the green pencil, search for your child's teacher's name, and you can send them a direct message. Once you send or receive a message, that message thread will appear on your messages tab.

Log into your Skyward account to change any of your contact information. If you need help, please contact your child's school.
