The Grand Prairie Independent School District is accepting applications to fill the vacancy for the District 7 At-Large Trustee position following the resignation of Trustee Amber Moffitt. The Grand Prairie ISD Board of Trustees will appoint a qualified individual to fill the vacant position until the next election, currently scheduled for May 2027.

Individuals interested in being considered for appointment to the Board of Trustees must meet all applicable eligibility requirements and complete an application. Applications are available through the link below or may be picked up at the Grand Prairie ISD Education Center, located at 2602 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052, during regular business hours.

Completed applications must be submitted in person to Brooke Alexander, Director of Purchasing/Election Coordinator, at the Grand Prairie ISD Administration Building, 2602 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052.

Applications will be accepted from August 14 through August 24, 2026, during the following hours:

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The deadline to submit an application is Monday, August 24, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Following review of the submitted applications, the Grand Prairie ISD Board of Trustees may invite selected qualified applicants to participate in interviews.
