Grand Prairie ISD promotes multicultural education and is proud to sponsor the MLK, Jr. Day parade each year. Grand Prairie ISD, in conjunction with the City of Grand Prairie, the NAACP, and local community businesses and organizations honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's. contributions with the annual MLK, Jr. parade.
