Mission Statement

Grand Prairie ISD’s Career and Technical Education program is committed to preparing and growing our students to succeed in college and career readiness through instilling the ideals of professionalism, leadership, and service. Grand Prairie ISD provides K-12 students the opportunity to explore or enroll in CTE courses that integrate rigorous and relevant standards to changing industry demands.

Vision

More than a diploma…

The Grand Prairie CTE program is designed to equip students for the world outside Grand Prairie ISD and is aligned with the workforce needs of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Grand Prairie wants all students to have the opportunity to explore various CTE pathways and/or earn industry-ready certifications allowing them to enter the workforce following their high school graduation.  We pride ourselves on preparing students for an ever-changing, ever-growing workforce.

Students have access to robust, technology rich opportunities for career investigation in 12 of the 14 CTE Career Clusters and 4 of the 5 Endorsements. With 30+ Career Experiences available, Grand Prairie students are able to choose an academic pathway that connects their area of interest with their high school education goals.
