My name is Rachael Buts and I am the instructional coach at Austin Environmental Science Academy.  I have worked here for the last decade years.  It has been a pleasure to serve our community over the years.  I am looking forward to another great year with our students and parents. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to be active participants in their child’s educational journey.

I have worked at Austin as a third and fourth grade teacher.  I believe that our students are the very best. I believe all students should be afforded an academically rigorous and engaging education. Students should become life-long learners in order to become productive citizens.  I have enjoyed working at Austin and I am pleased with the growth that our students continue to make year after year.

I possess a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction degree from University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Paul Quinn College.  I have valid EC-4 Texas teacher certification, as well as ESL certification.
