Welcome to Hobbs Williams Elementary. I am beyond excited to work with your students as the school counselor! As your counselor, I strive to uphold the mission and vision statement below:

Mission Statement

The mission of the Hobbs Williams Counseling Program is to be a proactive source of development through the use of student-centered data. Data will create a foundation to planning and implementing an intentional comprehensive school counseling program to support students in grades k-5 at all academic and social/emotional levels. The counseling program will allow all students to progress socially and emotionally, explore college and career opportunities, and build connections by working collaboratively with stakeholders within the school and community.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Hobbs Williams Counseling Department is to implement a comprehensive school counseling program with fidelity. The goal of the program is to aid in fostering life-long learners through empowering all students academically, emotionally, and socially.

I attended Texas Woman’s University where I attained both my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary studies and my master’s degree in Counseling and Development. I have worked as an educator for over 10 years and I love it!

I describe myself as being calm, genuine, and trustworthy which are essential characteristics for a school counselor. I pride myself in being a liaison between students and adults; advocating for student for needs. Using solution-focused strategies and individual interventions assists students in gaining tools they need to make better choices leading to social and academic success.

I am looking forward to serving students and families here at Hobbs Williams Elementary!
