Bachelors in Sociology/Psychology - SMU Masters of Education in School Counseling - Lamar University
My name is Krystal Jones. It is thrilling to be the counselor at Ellen Ochoa for another year. I am very excited to be back! This is my 10th year in education and my 4th year as a counselor. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I was a kindergarten teacher. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.
As a school counselor, I offer a wide variety of services to Ochoa students, faculty, and parents. Some of the services I offer include individual counseling, group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, academic planning, goal setting, and parent workshops. This year I hope to build a meaningful relationship with each and every one of our students; collaborate with parents and teachers; and ensure the educational, social, and emotional success of all students.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s academic, emotional, or social well-being please do not hesitate to contact me. Email is the best way to reach me, however I do check voicemails regularly.
EVERYDAY IS A GREAT DAY TO BE KIND!
Have a great school year!
