Rickeshea Todd is an experienced educator with a heart for children. She counts it a privilege to have the opportunity to serve students, parents, teachers and community as one of the school counselors of Lee and Uplift Lee. Her goal as a school counselor is to help all students with issues that may be affecting their academics, career, and personal/social interactions.

When she is not at school she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching football, creating new things, and traveling.

Welcome Lee Bears! I am privileged and excited to serve as a Counselor for Lee Elementary and Uplift Lee. I have been working for Grand Prairie ISD for 14 years as an educator.

My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports students, parents and teachers promote students’ academic, career, social and emotional success. I look forward to assisting guide your student in the preparation for their future.

Lee Counselors

  • As school counselors, we perform the following to promote growth:

    • Individual / small group counseling on a short-term basis
    • Classroom guidance each month
    • Collaborate with students, parents and school staff to identify needs and enhance student success in academics, career, and personal/social development
    • Respond to and provide support during personal/ school crises or emergency situations
    • Provide information and resources to parents on a variety of issues
    • Assist students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities
    • Help students to recognize and make the best of their abilities
    • Develop student career awareness. The district is implementing a new online career program, Career Cruising, for students in PK-12th to use. We are here to support them from Cradle to Career.
    • Help to create a safe and positive learning experience
