Fannin family,

We are so excited to kick off an exciting and fun-filled 2017-2018 school year, and I look forward to serving our students, parents, and community as your new Principal.
Our focus will be building a dynamic and exciting place to learn with a strong emphasis on enhancing not only the content knowledge but character of the students we serve.  The Fannin approach is to make learning fun and engaging for the learner, build meaningful relationships with the students, parents, and community, and set students up for success in High School and life beyond our walls.  We offer a diverse set of extracurricular and award winning programs, such as Mariachi, Orchestra, Choir, Band, Art, Theatre, and Athletics which is known for our championship soccer teams!  We are also adding some new courses and programs that will be relevant to the students after they leave Fannin such as AVID, Student Council, Pre-AP Spanish IV, and Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance.  In these new courses and programs the goal will be growing leaders with real-world skills.  We strive for excellence in all aspects and thrive when students are excited about coming to school and proud to be Fannin Wolves.
Our mission at Fannin is to build successful individuals through nurturing relationships, engaging learning experiences, and by providing opportunities for our families and learners to be meaningfully involved in their school experience and growth.
We look forward to an outstanding school year where we not only meet but exceed our goals while having fun.  Please visit our campus website, Facebook Page, and Instagram to receive updates, campus information, and see all the great things going on at school this year. If you are a parent or guardian who would like to get involved or volunteer please visit us for more information.

  • I was born and raised in Oklahoma and am an avid Sooners fan.  I graduated  from Comanche High School and earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and my Master’s Degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  This is my 18th year in GPISD.  My teaching and coaching career began in GPISD at Kennedy Middle School.  The subjects I taught included Texas and US History and I coached Football, Volleyball, Boy’s and Girls’ Basketball, and Boy’s and Girl’s Track.  Subsequently, I spent one year as the Instructional Media Specialist at Lee Middle School.  I began my career in administration at South Grand Prairie High School, where I spent 8 years, serving in the roles of Assistant Principal and Dean of Instruction.

I am married and my wife also works as a teacher in GPISD.  We have two children who both attend the district as well.
