    The Grand Prairie ISD Instructional Media program provides lifelong learning skills for 21st century learners. The program ensures that all staff and students are empowered with information literacy and emerging technologies through collaborative lessons designed with Instructional Media staff. The love of reading and literacy is fostered by providing access to both print and electronic resources.

Fannin Library

  • Through instructional media services, our aim is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information, enabling them to be literate life-long learners. We are committed to encouraging reading for pleasure and a love of learning and we strive to build students' minds by developing critical thinking through library research and the use of technology. This mission is accomplished by:

    • providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats
    • providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas
    • working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students
