Drop Off Time
- Class BEGINS at 8:50AM
- Exterior DOORS OPEN at 8:00AM (50 minutes before class begins)
- Supervision by Administrators begins at 8:00AM
- Breakfast Available 8:00AM until 8:45AM
- Note: GPFAA parents started a Facebook page where families can connect with one another for carpooling opportunities, as well as sharing information. “GPFAA Parents Info Group.

Pick Up Time
- Class ENDS at 4:15PM
- PICK UP by 4:45PM
- Supervision by Administrators ends at 4:45PM
- Tutoring 4:15 – 4:45PM. Supervision by Teachers until 4:45PM
- Rehearsals 4:15 until over. Supervision by Fine Arts Directors until rehearsal’s end time.

Safety
- We will continue to use our metal detectors daily for all students and visitors.
- Students will carry clear or mesh backpacks.
- A unified start/end time means more teachers & administrators are available for duty before and after school.

Activities At Other Schools
- If your kiddo participates in sports at their home campus – Same participation guidelines apply.
- GPFAA students must take all 8 classes at GPFAA.
- GPFAA students can participate at their home campuses if it is before 8:50AM or after 4:15PM.
- If there are any conflicts with after school activities, GPFAA’s activities are priority.

Traffic
- GPFAA’s students and parents will no longer battle traffic and parking with the 2,600 students, parents, and teachers from Grand Prairie High School.
- GPFAA will have approximately 890 total students next year with many riding the bus. More details will be communicated before school begins.

Transportation
- GPFAA students living in GPISD will have an option to ride a GPISD bus.
- Details will be available in August from the GPISD Transportation Department.

Dear GPFAA parents and guardians,
Thank you for another great year at GPFAA! Our goal is to always find ways to improve our campus, and after careful review, we are making some small changes to our school schedule for the 2024-2025 school year that will hopefully make your drop-off and pick-up easier.
Beginning August 13, 2024, which is the first day of school, GPFAA will move to one standard start and end time. School will begin at 8:50 a.m. and end at 4:15p.m. for all students.
This will benefit our students and parents in many ways:
- 35% of GPFAA is comprised of siblings, and now all 6th - 12th graders will be on the same bell schedule.
- Parents who drop off their kiddos will only need to drop off and pick up once.
- Older siblings that drive will no longer have to wait 90 minutes for their brother or sister to finish their day, and the younger siblings will no longer need to get to school 90 minutes before their day begins.
- GPFAA will no longer coincide with GPHS traffic since our start and end times are completely different than theirs.
- GPFAA student parking will be easier to ensure due to different start and end times than GPHS.
