I am thrilled to welcome you back to school for the 2018-98 school year at Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute! I hope that the summer months have provided you with rest, relaxation, and an opportunity to rejuvenate. We are excited to begin another great year and invite you to join us as partners in your child’s education. Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute has a tradition of excellence and we are committed to providing experiences that promote life-long learning and success for all students.

Darnisha Carreathers says she's "honored to serve as Chancellor of Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute". As a life-long learner, she have a passion for education and students, and she is committed to working and continuing the tradition of excellence at GPCI.
Ms. Carreathers graduated from Texas A & M University-Texarkana with a Bachelor of Science Cum Laude (History and English) and a Master of Education (Educational Administration) degrees. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University.
Ms. Carreathers has served as a teacher, Assistant Principal, Academic Dean, and Principal, and she believes that excellence is the only expectation. Her goal is to continue to partner with staff, parents, and the community by providing scholars with rigorous and challenging educational opportunities and experiences. We Are What’s Next!
