    Dr. Arredondo's extensive experience encompasses a variety of leadership roles, including classroom teacher, assistant principal, school principal, area superintendent, most recently officer of student affairs in Spring ISD, and formerly superintendent of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) Independent School District. His career is marked by a consistent focus on improving graduation rates and enhancing student learning outcomes.

    During his tenure as Superintendent of Schools for the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) Independent School District, Dr. Arredondo successfully navigated the district through the challenges of a global pandemic, leading PSJA to achieve an "A" rating from the Texas Education Agency. His leadership was instrumental in launching a strategic planning initiative in collaboration with The Holdsworth Partnership and the school board, fostering a new vision, mission, and strategic direction for the district.

    Dr. Arredondo is a passionate advocate for equity in education, having served in central office administration roles where he significantly advanced family and community engagement. Notably, he was named "Educator of the Year" by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 402 in 2016.

    Dr. Arredondo is a proud product of Texas public schools, holding a Doctorate in Education in Professional Leadership, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. He is married to Veronica, a bilingual educator and college readiness manager, and they have three children, all products of public schools.
