Degrees and Certifications:
I began my career as a high school English teacher. I love working with high school students and taught English I, II, and III for 7 years. I moved into an instructional coach position and quickly transitioned into an Assistant Principal position. I served as an Assistant Principal for three years before coming to Grand Prairie ISD as Dean of Instruction at GPHS. The following year I moved to Jackson Middle School as principal. After serving JMS for three years, I am excited to have the opportunity to serve at DCHS.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Texas Wesleyan University and my Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education Leadership from Tarleton State University.
The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it. ~ Michelangelo
