Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year, Gophers!
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the 2019 – 2020 school year. As the newly appointed Principal of Grand Prairie High School, I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such rich traditions and history. I have served in the field of education for more than twelve years, and I feel so privileged to be coming back to where my career began. I am eager to kick off the new school year and hope to make this the best year EVER!
Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to live up to our core values by creating opportunities for success, leading by example, and empowering our students. We will strive to build strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. As a National Demonstration Campus, we will continue to focus on student achievement through our AVID strategies. We will use data to drive instruction and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum. This year, our Gophers will achieve more than ever!
It is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents are excited to be here. Gopher pride runs deep, and I am so thrilled to be a part of this fabulous culture! My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.
I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Grand Prairie High School meet their goals and have a successful school year!
Mrs. Laigha Boyle

She taught English I – IV, Reading, Creative Writing, and Research and Technical Writing at Grand Prairie 9th Grade Center and Crosswinds HS. In 2011, Laigha earned her M.Ed in Administration from Lamar University and began working as an assistant principal at Bill Arnold Middle School. Laigha has a true heart for working with students to prepare them for life after high school.
