GPISD nurses and health clerks provide service to over 29,000 students as well as numerous employees. School nurses provide a critical role in the education of students by promoting health as well as providing direct care. Some services provided by the nurses:

Diabetes: A Family Perspective
Grand Prairie ISD and Grand Prairie Host Lions Club Present a Zoom Workshop
Learn about what diabetes is, what the signs are, and what the treatment is. We will have a father and teen son talk about what it means to be diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and how it has impacted their family. This workshop is in English with a Spanish interpreter if needed.
