Jenny Bishop joined the faculty at GPFAA in 2015. She attended high school in Groesbeck, TX. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX and her Master of Acting from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.  Upon graduating, Jenny returned to Texas where she began her teaching career at Colleyville Heritage High School in Colleyville, TX.  While teaching at CHHS, Jenny’s students qualified for state and national interp events. She had numerous TFA state qualifiers and winners, UIL Prose and Poetry winners, and numerous NFL (NSDA) national qualifiers. Her students won several awards from the Betty Buckley High School Musical awards at Casa Manana, most notably OKLAHOMA in 2007. At that time, Jenny was also awarded the Hummer Hero Award for Outstanding Theatre Teacher in North Texas.

In 2007, Jenny left teaching and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.  She has appeared in numerous film and television roles as well as many radio and television commercials. A few of her credits include American Crime, Dexter, Parks and Recreation, and the feature film J. Edgar starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Clint Eastwood; but her favorite role is playing Artie and Diggie’s Mom on Disney’s Liv and Maddie.

She is married to her high school sweetheart, Mike, and has three wonderful step kids, Shelbie, Randi, and Michael. She loves GPFAA and looks forward to an amazing sch
