I entered the teaching profession because I wanted to work with children on an everyday basis.  I believe that all children can experience cognitive, emotional, and social growth when actively participating in developmentally appropriate classroom.

Austin is a very unique school that has many opportunities to experience multiple live animals and growing walls for food production.

I understand the importance of positive experiences in early childhood development and I enjoy the opportunity to successfully influence the lives of children.

I became a teacher because I wanted to make science just as fun and exciting as my 4th grade teacher Mr. Gilmore at Dickinson Elementary made it for me. I love the fact that students will have the chance to learn about our planet and how to make informed choices to keep it clean.  My Philosophy as a teacher is that science is learned through hands on experiences, not just from a textbook.  I enjoy learning along wth the students, I am not afraid to say I don't know the answer to that but we can look it up!

I grew up in GPISD and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School. I then attended college at Stephen F Austin State University and graduated with my B.S in Animal Science. I look forward to working with your student as we experience this new class together!
