Yaritza Santiago - PE

I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. I received my certification of Physical Education EC -12 with Texas Teacher program. I am also certified in CPR and CPI. I have five years of experience working with student’s different ages. I used to be an NCAA volleyball player and I am Junior National Volleyball official.

After, I graduated I got a job as an assistant teacher at iGrow Montessori working with Pre- K students. Then, after a year I got hired in my previous job as a Special Education Teacher Assistant at North Richland Middle School. Therefore, I had the experience working with student’s behavior problem, ADD, Autism, and more. I speak, read, and write English and Spanish fluently. I enjoy doing exercise and spending time with my family. It will be a year full of fun as well as a year full of learning. I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of our students and their families!

My name is Yaritza Santiago, Physical Education teacher and I am really glad to welcome you and your child to my classroom this year. I am looking forward to an exciting year. I am prepared to evaluate the students who functioned below- on, and above grade level. As result, I am a person who evaluates each student’s unique needs before perform my lesson plans. Additional, I utilize different methods and teaching techniques to ensure that each student is able to understand the objective of the activity, enhance their own personal skills, enjoy the activity, and socialize with other students. I inspire students learning integrates with the fun sports, games, and activities that emphasize health and fitness.

My strengths are the dedication to my work, patience with all behaviors, and a strong sense of organization. Also, keeping students motivated and participating in the physical activity.
