Dr. Wendy G. Mathis, Principal
Greetings, Reagan Families!
I am honored to serve as the principal of Reagan Middle School for the 2019-2020 academic year. It is truly a privilege to be a part of an organization where students, parents, teachers and the community work towards one common goal; student achievement.
Reagan Middle School is dedicated to fostering a respectful educational environment wherein our Jr. Knights can learn and succeed by developing character, intellect, wellness, and a desire for life-long learning. Reagan's "7 Pillars of Knighthood", the forefront of our campus culture, assist in our preparation of young scholars to be "the best version of themselves" while navigating the challenging demands of the 21st Century.
Be sure to check out our campus website for updates related to academic/extracurricular events and other pertinent information.

Prior to becoming the Principal here at Reagan, I was the Assistant Principal at De Zavala, I taught 5th grade math at De Zavala and 7th grade math at the Young Men's Leadership Academy. I am also an adjunct professor. As an educator, I love helping students turn their “I can’t… into I CAN!”
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (minor in Business Administration) from Prairie View A&M University, a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University, and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. I am a life-long learner, as well as a parent, and enjoy sharing my passion for education with everyone that I meet.
Prior to becoming an educator, I worked as an IT Project Manager, a Human Resources Manager, and a Medical Case Manager. I am thankful for the opportunity to join Reagan Middle School and look forward to serving the faculty, staff, students, and community.
