Degrees and Certifications:

Robert Edwards

Hello! My name is Robert Edwards and I'm an Instructional Support teacher here at Seguin Elementary. I go into classrooms and help identified students who are struggling with the general education curriculum. I really enjoy working with kids as well as parents, so if you ever have any questions or concerns about a student on my roll, please feel free to contact me here at Seguin.

I started with GPISD in 1997 and have worked with Special Education students in the 22 years since then. I am also a classical pianist and teach piano from my home in Dallas, compose and perform scores for silent films, and play piano in an 18-piece jazz orchestra and for church services every Sunday.

I enjoy working with students because I love helping them develop tools and skills to make their way successfully and happily in the world.

I earned my teacher's certification in Special Education from the State of Texas in 1997, my undergraduate degree in Piano Pedagogy (teaching piano) from the University of North Texas in 1994 and a Master's of Classical Piano Performance, also from UNT, in 1996.
