Hello and welcome to our Environmental Science program! I am the Environmental Science Coordinator and am truly excited to work with all of our students this year. I hope to bring some exciting field experiences, opportunities to learn outside the classroom environment, and show how stewardship is very important to ensure we are doing our best to protect our Earth. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment that our students will enjoy and look forward to learning in. I have been an almost lifelong reside of Grand Prairie and completed my education in GPISD schools. My husband and I have been married for 18 years and we have two beautiful children. This is my sixth year at De Zavala and sixth year in GPISD. I have served as a fourth grade teacher and this will be my third year as the ESA Coordinator. Prior to teaching I worked with a well known neurosurgeon in Plano working on FDA approved clinical studies. I am also very proud to have completed my Master's degree from UTA this past school year in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with Principal Certification.
