Mr. Echols started his music career playing the trumpet in 6th grade in Waxahachie, Tx. Upon graduation, he continued his passion for music at the University of Texas at Arlington where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Southern Methodist University with a Master’s degree in music with a focus in Trumpet performance.  He has performed with the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Quimikoz del Son, Sonora Dinamita, and many other ensembles across the DFW area.  Mr. Echols is currently the Head High School Orchestra director at Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Grand Prairie, Texas, a freelance Trumpet player around the DFW area, and runs a private trumpet studio from home.  In his free time, Mr. Echols enjoys practicing trumpet and spending time with his wife, Susie, and their four dogs, Ray, Mia, Chavy, and Princess.
