Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute Nominated as 2022 National Blue Ribbon Designee
Grand Prairie ISD's Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute (GPCI) has been nominated by The Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a National Blue Ribbon School designee.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes schools with high student achievement. In Texas, public schools are considered for nomination based on student performance in the first administration of the previous year’s STAAR assessments, as well as College and Career data and graduation rates.
"This year’s nominees highlight the diverse learning environments found across the state, with the inclusion of traditional elementary, middle, and high school campuses, along with magnet and early college high schools," said the TEA in a press release.
GPCI is nominated as an Exemplary High-Performing School and must now complete a rigorous application process conducted by the U.S. Department of Education to receive the blue ribbon designation.
