Event to Focus on Hands-on STEM activities

Grand Prairie, TX – Lockheed Martin is again hosting STEM in Action Day at Ochoa STEM Academy in Grand Prairie on Friday, October 5, for grades 4-5.  This event features numerous hands-on, interactive activities that highlight STEM concepts in a fun, engaging way for students.

STEM in Action is held at the Ellen Ochoa STEM Academy at Ben Milam Elementary School. The school’s unique design and namesake create an environment that lends itself to scientific exploration and learning from Lockheed Martin engineers and staff.

Students will move among various stations to experience engineering, physics, building, coding, and aerospace concepts in activities such as:

  • CO2 race cars
  • Wind turbines
  • Robot wrestling
  • Egg drop
  • Bottle rockets
