Mrs. Emily Liles was elected to the Board of Trustees in May of 2019.  She is married to Scott, a third generation Grand Prairie resident, who attended GPISD schools. Together they have lived in Grand Prairie for 16 years and have two daughters who currently attend Reagan Middle School and South Grand Prairie High School.

Mrs. Liles is a stay-at-home mom who has volunteered most of her time over the last ten years in GPISD schools.  She has served on PTA in various positions and has been awarded the Texas PTA Lifetime Membership Award for her hours of service.

Mrs. Liles is an advocate of public education and has a vested interest in GPISD.  As a trustee, Emily will focus on student safety and well being, expansion of the Pre-K program, increased student achievement, college and career readiness, as well as increasing parent and community involvement.<

Mrs. Liles has served on the GPISD Future Forward Committee and currently sits on the boards of the GPISD Council of PTA’s and the Warrior Band Fans Booster Club.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
