Introduction & Prompt

After researching informational texts and background materials explaining the needs for playgrounds to challenge children, write a position paper detailing the many aspects of playground building and your decision as to whether the playground should be built to be safe or challenging? Can considerations be given to making the playground both safe and challenging? If so, what do you suggest? Your findings will be shared with the community council who are currently considering building a new playground that will serve as a community meeting spot in the park in the center of town. Support your discussion with evidence from your research and be sure to consider alternate points of view.
