Each day begins with calendar skills, a weather report, review of the alphabet letters and sounds, counting, and reading familiar words. Throughout the day, the children engage in movement activities and songs, free play, and center time. The children fine-tune their listening skills and practice following multi-step directions each and every day.  When the weather permits us, the children enjoy recess in our kindergarten playground.

Each week the children attend class in our lab for lessons using the computers. The students also attend music class, physical education class, art class and meet with our librarian for a good story and a new book to take home for the week. 

In kindergarten, children master objectives in language arts, math, social studies, health, and science. All lessons are aligned with the State of Texas Academic Standards.
