NIEA PROGRAM WEBINAR: Teaching Through and Beyond National Native American Heritage Month: Guest Panel

NIEA receives requests for speaking engagements and resources for National Native American Heritage Month. While NIEA is committed to serving our educational communities in this way, we believe strongly that ALL students should be taught about Native culture, past and present, beyond just November.

To discuss teaching through and beyond National Native American Heritage month, NIEA invited a guest panel to share experiences from the student, teacher, and administrator perspectives. NIEA sends special to thanks Terri Bissonnette (Anishinaabe), Jaylyn Suppah (Confederate Tribes of Warm Springs), and Donna Bussell (Apache) for sharing their powerful stories of experience. Listen in as these panelists discuss the representation of Native history and culture in the classroom and dig into the "secret sauce" of learning.
