Video Game Design
Education & Leadership Preparatory Academy
Preparing for a career in education, students develop professional life skills and participate in field experiences through Grand Prairie ISD. Students will earn 30 or more hours of college credit through the University of Texas at Arlington which may be applied toward a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree and will be prepared to take the TExES EC-6th teacher certification exam. After graduation, students who continue the program will be offered a Teacher Aide position in GPISD and will receive a pending contract to become a teacher upon completion of degree and certification.
Family and Community Services – Social Work
Family and Computer Services introduces students to knowledge and skills related to social services, including child and human development and consumer sciences. CTE students will learn (as well as practice) how to manage social and community services or family and consumer sciences. CTE students may follow career paths in social work.
The firefighter pathway will introduce students to firefighter safety and development. Students will also become acquainted with rules and regulations regarding fire protection, proper incident reporting and records, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Marketing and Sales
Marketing and Sales is the development of strategies which target distinct customers. Marketing and Sales analysts are responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities, planning and implementing new sales plans. CTE sudents will learn various other ways to promote the company’s products and services. This program of study contains two areas of focus: Real Estate or Social Media Marketing.
