Brayonna Howard, Principal
I have been in Grand Prairie for most of my life. We moved to Grand Prairie, Texas, when I was three. I went to Austin Elementary and Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School. I also went to Jackson Middle School and South Grand Prairie High School. After high school, I went to the University of North Texas and earned my Bachelor's degree and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. Once I graduated from college, I knew it was only fitting for me to come back and serve the community that played a part in molding me into who I am today. This is my 18th year in education, and all have been in GPISD. My first 17 years were at South Grand Prairie High School. I began my career as a teacher and coach. I taught English I, Health, Speech, and AVID; coached Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. After 7yrs of teaching and coaching, I became an administrator and was an administrator at South Grand Prairie High School for 10yrs. Some of the titles I held were Assistant Principal, Campus Behavior Coordinator, and Dean of Students. I am starting my 18th year in GPISD as the Proud Principal of Johnson DAEP!
